12 Ways to Style Your kitchen
An easy trick to creating vignettes is to use an odd number of objects. I recommend starting with the items you use often (ie: fruit bowl or cutting board) while creating your kitchen vignettes, then add 1-2 decorative things next to those.
Lean & Layer Cutting Boards
Leaning a couple charcuterie or cutting boards in different sizes and shapes adds style and warms up a kitchen. You can lean them on your countertops against a backsplash or behind your range.
White pedestal or footed bowls will never go out of style. They are a classic and nice to have on hand when entertaining!
Add something tall to draw your eye up! I like to use tall branches or florals on kitchen islands as a focal point. Here, I used a tall lemon tree to highlight the gorgeous window and sink area.
Throw a Towel Over the Sink
A casually thrown hand towel over the sink is a useful and cute way to jazz up your kitchen sink.
Glass Dispensers to Reuse
Glass hand soap and dish soap dispensers look classy and are easy to refill. PS. Be sure to check the label before you buy them to make sure the labels won’t peel off easily when wet. Etsy has great options too!
Use Apothecary Jars
Glass jars and vases are another classic item (and functional!) that will never go out of style. Add the things that you often cook with or use (ie: fill them with lemons, apples, spices, sugar, etc.!)
Add a rug
Rugs are a great way to add personality to any space, plus they are cozy to step on! My favorite rugs for kitchens are runners that you can throw in the washing machine.
Having cookbooks on display are decorative, and functional. They can also inspire creativity in the kitchen and you'll likely use them more often if they are out!
A Stylish Cookbook Stand
You can also use a stylish cookbook stand which can hold a tablet too! I like to place a cute recipe holder on a stove top or on the kitchen counter.
Statement Counter Stools
Stools are a great way to add style and character to a kitchen. Often times they are a centerpiece to a kitchen, so it is worth splurging if you find some that you love!
Candles & fresh florals for a finishing touch!
