Earlier this year I had the honor of becoming a TRADspotter for Traditional Home magazine. As a TRADspotter, I am part of a small network that gets exclusive tours and peeks at the best in interior design – which also means opportunities to spend more time at the Merchandise Mart!
It’s one of my very favorite places to visit.
In case you’re not familiar, Chicago’s Merchandise Mart is home to hundreds of the best design showrooms. It is the world’s largest resource for home furnishings and interior design. I love visiting for the ENDLESS inspiration and friendly faces.
SO….
I’m super excited to share that I was ALSO invited to become a Merchandise Mart Ambassador!
This past November, a group of incredibly talented interior designers and home decor bloggers got to together and toured many showrooms. It was a blast hanging out with everyone and see some of the best things in home design.
I thought I’d share some of the photos and highlights from the showrooms!
ALSO, if you guys want to see more posts like this ~ let me know! I’ve been meaning to share the ones with Traditional Home and High Point Market from earlier this year.

Our day started at the CAI Designs showroom which was filled with SO many amazing pieces.
My favorite finds at CAI were a customizable TV console that hides your TV and an adjustable chandelier. You can adjust the height by simply pulling it down.
So clever right?
Videos of these pieces and more under my instagram story highlights (@shiningondesign).
I loved hanging out with this group of talented ladies at the Dedon showroom!
DEDON carries the coolest handwoven outdoor furniture.
Made from recyclable materials.
We made stops at Katonah Hardware and danced on piles of stunning rugs at Lapchi Rugs.
I went home and immediately signed up for TikToK. Anyone hooked?
Obsessed with Benjamin Moore’s 2020 Color of the Year, which is a sophisticated pink called First Light.
Having way too much fun at the Benjamin Moore showroom….!
I am overall REALLY happy to see their Color Trends palette of 2020 ~
A lot of colorful and versatile options.
Thinking of which room to paint next!
Bosch treated us to an amazing lunch and incredible desserts.
I learned so much about induction cooking and now have a steam oven on my wish list. Everyone is raving about how perfectly they cook everything. (I could use that help for sure haha!).
Another thing on my wish list and to have on your radar:
A down draft hood.
The hood collapses right into the island and is a great alternative to the standard over the range hood.
Espresso with Grand Marnier at Boshe
I highly recommend giving this a try!
Artistic Tile
…. a favorite stop of mine.

SO many beautiful tile designs and options available.

I did have to speed through the last couple showrooms to catch an appointment. BUT, they are worth checking out on instagram stories.
You’ll find the most amazing closet with a gorgeous blue color from Christopher Peacock cabinetry.

ALSO, bathtub and sink options where you can customize the color – all from Rohl.
Thank you to the wonderful team at The Merchandise Mart, LuxeHome and all the showrooms for your generosity and hospitality!
