Relax & Recharge

These past couple months have been ultra busy for me and I just knew a quick getaway to Park City was exactly what I needed to recharge. I even changed the look of this blog! What do you think? Yay or nay?

There are TWO main reasons I love visiting Park City, Utah. I’m not a big fan of cold weather and I’ve only skied a handful of times. Yet Park City is one of my favorite destinations. I’ve officially visited in every season now and every time is so different, proving there is so much to do in this city.

The first reason I love visiting is to see my dear friend Lydia and her husband Charlie. Lyd and I met the first week of college at the University of Iowa and as corny as it may sound, I’m pretty sure we were meant to be friends for life. Also, her and Charlie are the BEST hostesses and would kill it running a B&B. I’m also pretty sure that everyone in town wants to hang out at their house and have a drink with them. Even BobMore on this coming in another post cause that’s just how amazing it is.

The second reason….

….is the SPA Montage in Deer Valley. It’s AAHHH-MAZING. #1 spa I’ve ever been to (Kohler in WI is a close 2nd). The staff, amenities, atmosphere, service are all top notch. I flew in Friday night and made a point to be at the spa when it opened the next day. It’s a perfect place to relax and feel pampered. Even with just a day pass!

The hardest decisions Lyd and I have to make goes as follows…. “should we go to the sauna, steam room or pool?”. Then usually followed by “let’s just stay here for a few more minutes….”

Here are some pics I managed to take between champagne sips and soaking up the day……

Every single visit to Park City requires a visit to Spa Montage.

Did you know that my very first blog post was written in PC? Kind of crazy to think that wasn’t that long ago! A little embarrassing but if you’re curious.. you can check out that little bug here. You may notice not much as changed in terms of my favorite dining rooms!!

I’ve been quite the busy bee lately and this little getaway to Park City was exactly what I needed. I explored, gained inspiration, got some work done and recharged. A little mountain air goes a long way!

And I’d love to know, what are your favorite spots to relax and recharge?

Samantha Regan

P.S. Another favorite spot in Park City is right here…… this one holds a special place in my heart!!! (also one of my first blog posts… no judgement)

Thank you Montage Deer Valley for having us! And thanks Lyd for another weekend for the books!

Love this! Thank you for sharing, you did an amazing job capturing the beauty of one of my favorite places in the whole world. One thing I love about living in the mountains is the lifestyle that accompanies those dreamy views. Life is busy. Between work… email… cell phones… social media… etc it’s hard to get caught in the everyday grind. Relaxing and recharging is an absolute MUST not just for ourselves but for those around us. It allows us to be a better version of ourselves. I am so thankful you chose to reset in Park City. Cheers to a productive week and more adventures that are still to come! Xx

Thanks Lyd! This is the sweetest note! I love every visit to PC and hope to make it out there again very soon. This past weekend flew by way too fast but it was sooo nice to catch up and relax. I can’t believe it was 5 years already BTW since my first visit (thanks FB for the reminder!:). Miss you already!
