One Room Challenge – Week 4

Officially half-way through the One Room Challenge πŸŽ‰

These weeks are flying by! But we are making progress ~

I’m going into full party planning mode here shortly for Harper’s 6th birthday, so this will be another quick update.

This week last year we were so busy getting ready to close on our old house in Illinois and move to South Carolina, so we are going a little extra this year on the celebrations. Hard to believe how much has changed in a year.

Harper requested a unicorn theme, so there may be an actual unicorn peeking through one of these sunroom windows on Friday! πŸ™‚ I can’t wait.

A few updates this week:

  • The swivel chairs arrived! They are called the Woodcrest Classic Club chair from Wovenbyrd, one of the ORC sponsors. I originally wanted the light blue option, but since it was out of stock, we went with the cream color, which is beautiful in person. They are comfortable and our entire family has been loving that they swivel. Swivel chairs are the best for open floor plans!Β
  • Eric installed our Roman shades πŸŽ‰ We love our Two Pages Curtains in our living room and master bedroom, and were excited to try their Roman shades. We would typically hire someone to do the installation, but time is of the essence , and we are trying to be more DIY with all the projects going on. He did a great job and said it was fairly easy to install them all after figuring out the first one. We went with the cordless option and privacy lined Liz Linen Roman Shades. You can customize your exact size and it is easy to order online. I was surprised how easy the entire process for these were! It’s a great custom option for the price.

We are still figuring out the crown molding. I love the crown we ordered but being in a new city, we have had a hard time finding someone skilled enough for the install at this point. Update on that coming soon, I hope πŸ™‚

Hope everyone has a wonderful week and hope to see you next week with more updates!
