By popular request, here’s my favorite avocado toast recipe!
I shared this on instagram stories and have had quite a few messages for the recipe since. It only takes a couple minutes to whip together and is so delicious.
ALSO, I’m sharing a peek at our new dining table!
We are still waiting on chairs (still deciding on those actually..) but the table is on a crazy good sale right now. A deal too good to pass up! I’ve bought this table for two clients in the past and they have been super happy with it. They both have young kids too so their positive feedback is huge for me! I’ll link it below 🙂
Okay back to the avocado toast, awhile ago, I asked Le Pain Quotidien (a favorite restaurant of mine in Chicago) what their secret was to their avocado toast and this is a little spin and their recipe.
The measurements are *to taste* but all the ingredients are listed below. I prefer to go heavier on the red pepper flakes and less on the cumin – but play around with it and see what you like best!
You can always add a little more and adjust as needed.
Avocado Toast Ingredients:
The avocado spread recipe generously covers about 2-3 slices of bread. When prepping it for guests, I double everything in the recipe EXCEPT the red pepper flakes. More can be added if desired.
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp Lemon zest
- 1 tbsp of Lemon juice
- 2-3 Avocado (I use about 2 1/2 small avocados)
- 1/2 tsp Red pepper flakes (less if desired. I like mine spicy)
- 2 Radish, thinly sliced
- 1 Cucumber, thinly sliced
- Bread (I use multigrain) or bagels
Mix together the lemon zest, cumin powder, squeeze lemon juice and mash avocado.
Toast the bread and spread on top. Slice the radish and cucumber for the top. Add a little extra red pepper flakes if you desire!
Bon appetit!
Here’s a close up on the dining table (save $500 on it right now in the Honey color!)
It comes in other colors too but I think this shade is so pretty – and it has the best price.
Our dining room is quite the work in progress right now but I’ll definitely share once we decide what to do!
