High Point Market Design Influencer Tour – Day 2 Recap

Welcome to the Day 2 recap from the Design Influencer Tour at High Point Market!

In case you missed it, I was selected to go on a private tour of High Point Market (the biggest interior design trade show in the world) for the Design Influencers Tour. It was such an exciting trip for me and I’m happy to share more of my favorite finds in today’s post!

You can check out a full recap and more details from the first day of the tour in this post, along with more details on the market.

Next week, I’ll be sharing the top 10 trends in Interior Design to keep an eye out for so stay tuned for that too.

Interior design blogger tour

We spent the entire second day touring showrooms around High Point. I’ve narrowed down my top favorite things from each one.

I’ll also be sharing video highlights on instagram stories throughout the day today as well. So if you want to see more details please check out those too (@shiningondesign and click on “HPMKT 2021” in highlights).

If you have any questions about anything shown in this post, please feel free to ask in the comments or send me a message!

Here is a recap of favorites from day 2 of the Design Influencer Tour of High Point Market FALL 2021 ~

Hubbardton Forge

The first stop on our tour was Hubbardton Forge and I wanted to bring all their lights home with me – especially the ones from their outdoor collection.

Hubbardton Forge is known for their rustic industrial designs and their light fixtures are handcrafted in Vermont. I especially love the custom outdoor sconce that you can have personalized with your home address.

Just stunning.

This one is called the Ardesia Circular LED Pendant and features Vermont slate. It was voted Interior Design’s Best of Year 2021 🎉.

And worth sharing another close up pic..

Rowe Furniture

I enjoyed every minute of walking through the Rowe showroom. Rowe sells high quality, custom upholstered furniture with hundreds of fabric options to choose from. I spent as much time as I could testing out the sofas, chairs and more. This is one of the best parts of High Point Market – to be able to see, feel and sit in things for your clients. I took plenty of notes on my favorites throughout the tour, but honestly, just about everything at Rowe was super comfortable, and well designed.

Custom furniture

I especially loved seeing this corner which shows all the ottomans that you can have customized for your projects.

The design options are endless!

I’m always thinking about durability and performance, while still being functional and beautiful. These chairs were a favorite… and with a white kid-friendly fabric from Crypton.

Rowe did such a beautiful job styling everything that I wanted to include a few more photos & vignettes from their showroom ~

Universal Furniture

I was thrilled to see Universal Furniture was on our itinerary. They are one of my favorite brands for their wide variety of pieces and styles – and price points.

I took a quite a few videos from their showroom you can see on the HMPKT 2021 instagram highlights too. It is definitely worth visiting to see more from this showroom.

Also, I’ll be sharing more on Universal Furniture early next year for a collaboration that I’ve been very excited about!

Here are some of my favorite finds from what we saw on our tour ~

This chair above it made for outdoors – and it swivels!

It’s available in many patterns and colors, although this pattern is very fun. It is also very comfortable. I just added it to my wish list for our sunroom, which needs something that will hold up well is our busy house.

Universal Furniture has collaborated with celebrities like Miranda Kerr for collections, and interior designer Nina Migon.

Fun fact, Nina Magon was on the same tour as a blogger years ago and now designed an entire collection with Universal. Goals!

Sherrill Furniture

We visited Sherrill Furniture who offers beautiful and luxurious custom made furniture. One trend that we will be seeing more of is large scale patterns in upholstery.

I love the playful and fun pattern on this chair so much I almost bought it on the spot! Note how well the pattern lines up from the back to the seat cushion 🙌🏼.

Shiffman Mattress

It was so fun (and relaxing!) to stop at the Shiffman Mattress showroom. They really know how to treat their customers right! Their mattresses are upscale, hand crafted and so comfortable. We got to test out quite a few and I’ll tell you, after being on my feet for almost 2 days straight, I didn’t want to leave to their showroom!

Each Shiffman Mattress is handmade and takes about 8-10 hours to make a mattress (vs. the 30 mins industry standard). They aim for the highest quality. My husband and I have been sleeping on their pillows for a few weeks now and they have quickly become our favorites.

Stickley Furniture

If you are looking for heirloom quality pieces for your home, I encourage you to look at Stickley Furniture. The Martine Vanity desk (shown below) was my favorite find in their showroom. It is beautifully made with cherry wood and drawers that swing out like butterfly wings. It was designed by Stickley’s Director of Design. Marissa Brown, and was also chosen for as a Pinnacle Award finalist.

These white curvy, swivel chairs were another favorite find at Stickley….

Innovation Living

The last stop on our tour was at Innovation Living, where you can find all kinds of sofa beds. Their designs are very sleek and versatile. Great for small spaces, vacation rentals, kids rooms. l love the pink sofa for a kids room which can convert to a twin bed for sleepovers with friends. Genius!

We had a later start time on the second day so I made a quick stop at Thibaut. The picture of me at the top of this post was taken here so thought I’d share a few more of their showroom! It’s always a favorite stop. The way they mix and match patterns and colors with balance and variety is so inspiring.

And that’s a wrap!

Thank you for reading and following along on this tour with me!

A huge thank you to all the wonderful sponsors for the tour and to Esteem Media. Stay tuned for more on the top trends seen at High Point Market coming next week! ~

What a great recap post, Samantha. I have been a fan of Thibaut forever, but was surprised by the Stickley desk. That’s such a pretty, feminine piece. I didn’t know they carried items like that.

    Thanks for the tour!
