Baby #4 is on the way and we are having a…
a BOY!!
We are still in shock after having 3 girls that we are going to welcome a baby boy to our clan. Everyone is very excited!
We just had our 20 week anatomy scan and everything looked great overall. The technician confirmed it is a boy! We found out earlier but wanted to wait for the ultrasound just in case. We do have to go back in a couple weeks for another ultrasound to double check on his stomach growth. The doctors aren’t worried, so we aren’t worrying either.
I’ll try to share more updates too but here’s a few questions we’ve been getting from friends & family when we made the announcement ~
Are the girls excited about a brother?
Yes! Every now and then they will mention something that they think the new baby will like and put it aside (like a blue toy, or baby blanket). It’s very cute. Taylor likes the name Cooper and Kinzie likes the name “Boy”, or “Cowboy” haha.
Do you have a name picked out?
We thought we had our boy name set in stone but now brainstorming some other options too. I definitely want to use my maiden name, Terry, as his middle name. A few first names on our list (in no particular order) are Dash, Daniel, Palmer or maybe Walton. We keep adding more so we’ll see!
Nursery plans?
I have no real decorating plans (shockingly) yet. We’re actually looking into an addition too since we only have the 3 bedrooms upstairs. For the decor and design of the baby room, we are trying not to order too much while under the shelter-in-place order. As soon as things start getting better (or we get closer to the due date), we will start ordering the clothes and planning the baby room. We have some time!
I do have a few things on my wish list though! The blue and white Seahaven Serena and Lily crib sheet and basically anything from Caitlin Wilson’s new kids line.
Do you have or need boy clothes?
Thankfully a few friends have offered some hand me downs (we definitely appreciate that!). I’m pinning some clothes to order in the next couple months but it’s harder to find cute boy stuff! Favorite places are Janie and Jack, Hope and Henry (available on Amazon now) & Nordstrom. Any other good places I may not know about for boy clothes?
I’ve been getting some questions too about how it is being pregnant during this pandemic, how we’re handling everything, etc. so I’ll share those in a separate post coming up. Let me know if you have any questions that I should add 🙂
H&M has very cute baby/toddler boy stuff and great quality. Check it out!
Thanks Sarah! Will do! I always forget they have kids stuff. Great call
