Are you looking for some refreshing ideas to decorate your home for the holidays? If so, you have come to the right place for fresh holiday inspiration!
The Christmas Walk and House Tour this year in Geneva, IL did not disappoint! There are 5 homes total on the house tour, all tastefully designed. I spent the day hopping around from house to house, gathering inspiration and ideas.
I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak of one of the houses that offers a fresh take on traditional holiday decor. Here are just a few of my favorite things….
Two Christmas trees? Yes, please.
Some of the lovely accents seen throughout the home include a trio of square wreaths, a Chanel snow globe, fur pillows and throws, gold and silver sunbursts and oversized stars.
One of my favorite parts is this festive, gold bar cart under the juju hat. And in case you missed it, I wrote an entire post about why every home should have a Juju hat.
See those party signs below? (The sign behind the lamp says: “But first, Champagne”.)
I’d say this house is definitely in the holiday “spirit”!
Blankets are a great way to jazz up a sofa for the holidays. Don’t you just want to curl up with some hot cocoa in this blanket?
I love pomegranates in food and even drinks, but holiday decor? I never would have thought about pomegranates while decorating for the holidays but what a great idea! Plus this is so easy to do at home. Just add some greenery and berries then place in bowl or tray. Maybe line a few up as a table centerpiece?
Oranges, pomegranates, fresh garland and bright stars – a perfect mix!
The beautiful decorating and fresh greenery for this home were done by local businesses 610 Home and Plandscape. Amazing job! I was very impressed and excited about trying some of these ideas out in my own home, starting with the oranges 🙂
Thank you to Laura from the Geneva Chamber of Commerce for allowing me to get a sneak peek and take photos of this lovely home. And thank you to the Thor family for sharing your home, it is stunning!
What are your favorite holiday decorations? The tree, stockings, garland? I’d love to hear! Also, I’ll be sharing my winter bucket list on Friday and I need your help on a couple items – hope to see you then!!
Cheers!
