This has been one of my most requested posts so I am glad to finally share it for those that have asked! As most of you know, we had our fourth baby (first boy) last August. I know everyone says it, but I really can’t believe how fast these days are flying by.
We’ve had so, so many things over the years for our babies and I’ve narrowed this list down to 12 of my absolute favorite things. These are things I would 100% buy over and over again.
Each item on this list would also make a great gift if you know someone that has a baby on the way!

1. Lovevery Play Gym
I never thought I’d be excited about a play mat but this one is very engaging (and cute so I don’t mind when it is out). If this was my first baby, I would subscribe to the Lovevery monthly play sets in a heart beat. They are designed for development at each stage, are sustainably sourced and they come with a booklet with helpful tips.
We also have the Lovevery block set which I highly recommend. My three older girls (ages 2-6) have played with this for hours and I imagine Danny will get a lot of use out of it too! The price for the block set is higher than I would normally pay but it’s worth every penny.
PS. they have a registry option and group gifting option too.
2. The Short Years Baby Book
This baby book is not only beautiful, but comes with an app so you can easily update it on your phone.
The app prompts questions, only takes 5 minutes per week to update and you can even set up reminders. When you are done completing each chapter, they will ship the pages to you to add to the book.
3. Cotton Muslin Crib Sheets
Anything that actually helps a baby sleep better is like gold. We started using cotton muslin baby sheets with Danny and it makes such a difference when we lay him down for bed. They are soft and cozy and he definitely sleeps better when we use them.
You can find muslin sheets at a few places but I love the patterns from here (just check the description to make sure it’s the muslin material).
4. Beaba BabyCook
I used the Baby Bullet for 3 kids and got the Beeba Baby Cook for Danny this year. I wish I had it before!! It steams, blends and can go in the dishwasher. It is also easy to clean and comes in a few fun colors. It makes prepping homemade food for him SO much easier! The Beaba silcone spoons are great too.
5. Honest Diaper Subscription
We also use Pampers baby dry at night but I love the prints of Honest diapers. They make diaper changing a little better 🙂 I have both Honest and Pampers on subscriptions so we never have to think about running out or ordering diapers.
6. Bamboo One Piece Outfits
My favorite outfits are the one piece outfits that are soft. One piece means less matching and just all around easier for me! I love the bamboo material – which has some stretch to it so the outfits last longer as the babies grow.
Some of my favorite brands include Kyte, Angel Dear, Milkbarn, and Spearmint.
7. Clear Baby Gates
I wrote a post all about these clear, modern baby gates a couple years ago. They are still going strong and a favorite thing! Here is the link to the post: Toddler Proofing in Style
8. BABYBJÖRN Bouncer
This bouncer is easy to wash, comfortable and well designed. We’ve had quite a few different types and brands of bouncers over the years and this one is our favorite.
9. ErgoBaby Carrier
I’ve tried a few different baby carriers and wraps and always go back to this one. It is comfortable (even with my bad back), long lasting and easy to clean. If I could only pick ONE thing on this list of must have items, this would be it.
10. Bugaboo Stroller
We’ve had our Bugaboo since my oldest was a baby. Four kids, and seven years later it is still going strong! We’ve taken this on almost every trip and it has held up impeccably. We have also had the Uppa Baby double stroller and a couple travel strollers which were rarely used. Our Bugaboo is our go-to and a good investment for a new mom.
11. Feel & Learn Book
Don’t ask me why but ALL four of my babies loved this toy. This is probably the only toy that has been a hit with every single kid. There’s crinkle sounds, a squeaker and teething rings on it. Very entertaining.
12. Banana Teether
This has been a favorite for all 4 babies too!

It feels like yesterday we were bringing home our first baby. She’ll be turning 7 this summer already!! If there’s one thing I’ve learned is that being a mom is truly the best gift. Also, time flies, don’t sweat the small stuff and always trust your gut!
