It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating Danny’s baby sprinkle! It was so sweet that our friends and neighbors hosted a party for our fourth baby (first boy :). I was excited to do the same for our friend who’s expecting her second soon.
Here are a few of my favorite decorations from last weekend – including a couple go-to ideas that I use for almost every celebration. I cohosted this sprinkle and can’t take credit for all the ideas (like the cute diaper cake and custom cookies!).
Also I want to note, we celebrated in covid safe way. All of the guests were close neighbors and it’s a relief that many are vaccinated too 🙂 ps. I am getting my first shot tomorrow!

1. Welcome Drinks
The best ways to greet guests are with a smile, and a drink. Mimosas and personalized water bottles were perfect for a brunch al fresco.

2. Framed Sign
One of my go-to easy party decorations ~ a personalized framed sign for the occasion.
You could have one made on etsy, or just DIY one! I made this in word and printed it at home. This could also make a cute gift or prize if you are doing baby shower games. It’s so simple to make and cute on a table!
(My filigree frame is one of my favorites – linked here)

3. Balloons
Balloons are a fun addition for any celebration! I love the painted details that Twee Parties in Chicago added to this garland.

4. Themed Florals Arrangements
The florals are always my favorite decor for any party. A mix of baby’s breath and blue hydrangeas to celebrate a baby boy.

I started using these easy arrangers for my floral arrangements. What a difference they make!

5. Display food in a fun way
Make the food part of the decor. Bagel boards, donut towers, fruit skewers, get creative!
I saved this donut wall from Harper’s first birthday (a lemon garden party) and it works great for bagels too. If you’re in the Geneva, IL area, you’ll want to get Bread Geneva on your calendar 🙂 She’s booking weeks out but makes the best homemade bagels ever. She even delivers them fresh to your door!

Speaking of bread.. the theme for this sprinkle was “a baby is brewing” and the dad of the baby happens to brew his own beer too. We had coffee brewing, homemade beer bread, and these beer cookies made by my friend Lauren (who needs to start a cookie making business!).

6. Diaper Cake
Diaper cakes are so cute – and such a useful gift!
My friend gets all the credit for this one but I did find some you can order too! I love Honest diapers and was excited to see they make diaper cakes.
And here is a throwback from last summer at my baby sprinkle for Danny……
I wanted to share because it is a great memory + I got to wear my favorite jacket that my friend made for me. I finally shared all the details on my last post, Creating a Custom Jacket with Mira Couture!

Do you have any go-to party decorations that you love? Share in the comments ~ I’d love to hear!
